Barcelona midfielder Gavi has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his proper knee, the membership have confirmed.
The 19-year-old suffered the damage enjoying for Spain of their Euro 2024 qualifier towards Georgia on Sunday, limping off the pitch within the opening 25 minutes.
Barca mentioned in an announcement that checks carried out on Monday morning have proven he has “a whole tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his proper knee and an related damage to the lateral meniscus”.
He’ll bear surgical procedure within the coming days.
